2014 Burton Citizen Womens Binding Overview
Hey there. Welcome to the Morning Shred brought to you by snowboards.com. I'm Jenna. I've got Levi here from Burton. We're going to talk about the Burton Citizen Binding for women.
Levi, great binding for the value, right? You guys updated it a little bit this year as well. Yeah, a little bit is kind of an understatement. This year we switch this binding over to Reflex Technology which has to deal with the base of this binding actually being able to flex with the board. And, with Reflex, we say it gives you 70% the board flex that you would get without even having a binding on it all so a traditional binding, to compare it to, would only give you about 5% the flex it would without a binding on it at all so a huge improvement in terms of the flex of your board underfoot and it also helps lighten it up and gives you a little bit more cushioning under your heel.
The Citizen in general was always a great binding. It was always, what I used to say, was the best binding out there for the price and without changing the price we gave it that huge update. And some of the things that have always made it such a great binding are the fact that it's got this AdaptaCap Toe Strap where you can run it over the front of the toe or over the top and just kind of choose which way you want it. Also, having this nice soft ankle strap as well as a full base pad and forward lean adjustments and highback rotation and all the adjustments you need out of a binding so... Very cool. So just a real simple binding for either the entry level rider or that rider who has been out there for a little bit and looking to progress and wants something simple. Good value, right? Yep, great binding for the price and something that you can progress with. Great.
Well make sure to check out the Burton Citizen on snowboards.com and thanks for watching the Morning Shred.
