2015 Flow Minx GT Hybrid Womens Binding Overview
Hey there. Welcome to the Morning Shred brought to you by snowboards.com. I'm Jenna. This is Tim from Flow and we're going to talk about the Flow Minx GT Hybrid today.
So, got a lot going on here. When you start getting into some of the added features that you guys offer. Tell us who this binding's really designed for? Well, again, I mean, being similar to the Minx it's a very versatile binding. Ya know, if a girl is, say, much of an athlete and wants to invest in a snowboard set up but it's a first time buy, this would still work perfect for her if she could advance with the binding, if you will, and not have to replace it right away, right up to an advanced level rider that likes a little bit softer baseplate so they can feel the flex of their board underneath their foot. the GT features over the Minx it features an aluminum heelcup which really locks the boot into place and it's quicker edge-to-edge as well as a three-piece highback that can be modified or moved in to accommodate the different angles that the rider might have and a urethane highback at the top so real forgiving so if this type of girl is going to be in the park and maybe hitting some jumps, a little more forgiving on landings and that type of stuff.
We milled out the basplate here both in the toe and the heel and inserted EVA foam to lighten up the binding overall and it's available in the hybrid strap which we're featuring right here which is more of a toe strap type design. With the ratchet buckles that you can set and forget once you get it all broken in, the strap and everything else. Forward Lean Adjustment is featured up on the highback. Forward Lean is simply how far forward the highback is on say icy conditions or a bulletproof style day, you might want to have more forward lean so it's more responsive and quicker to edge. So, like you said, plenty of responsive but still soft enough for that athletic first time girl. Absolutely. Absolutely.
Great, well make sure you check out the Flow Minx GT in the hybrid strap on snowboards.com and thanks for watching the Morning Shred.
