Hey, I'm Rob from skis.com and snowboards.com joined today by Josh from Oakley. Josh, thanks for joining us. Thanks for having me.
So, today we're talking about the O2 XL from Oakley. Really cool goggle, kind of a redesigned shape for the 2013- 2014 season and really killed it. Yeah, it did pretty amazing, well better than we even thought it was going to do. Sort of a redesigned of O Frame, obviously O Frame's been out for a long, long time so total redesign. Widened the peripheral on the entire goggle. You're getting the big 50mm strap so it's really comfortable to wear underneath helmets, it fits great with helmets and it's just pretty incredible what they're doing with flat lenses in general. They're able to get this wide periphery on here so... Yeah, and the sight lines are phenomenal, the optics in this goggle are really, really great with a flat lens.
And at that price point, I mean, it kind of goes into different segments of, you know, dad can wear it, kids can wear it, I've seen girls even wearing this, guys. So, it covers a wide range of skiers and snowboarders out there and, you know, at that $70-80 price point. For sure, and then to cover even more of a range it has the notches in the side so you can wear your glasses with it. Correct, yep. So, you can totally OTG goggle if you want it to be that so, yeah, this is going to be year number 2 for the O2 XL so we're excited about what's going to happen with it. For sure, and then just, I mean, kind of a comfort feature - triple layer face foam so super comfortable, super soft on your face which is sometimes can go un-talked-about and really is an important feature on this goggle. Yeah, it did well last year and we're expecting it to do even better this year so... For sure.
So, there you have it. Whether you're, you know, mom or dad looking for maybe a little lower priced goggle or, you know, a kid that's kind of looking for that throwback look, the O2 XL is such a great option. Josh, thanks for joining us. Happy to be here. Thanks. And thanks for joining us on skis.com and snowboards.com
