2016 Flow Micron Kids Binding Overview
Hi there, welcome to the Morning Shred, brought to you by snowboards.com. I'm Jenna, this is Tim from Flow and this is the Flow Micron Youth binding. Tim, this is obviously for kids, tell us a little bit about the binding. Yeah, the Micron we're really dedicated to the kids in general and we actually have a team called Team Micron which is kids 15 and younger which is kind of cool - a national team. But this is a binding that they help us design and they like it very, very much. It's super easy to get in and out of as you can see, with a reclining highback, that's great for kids. Also, it fits a wide range of boots, roughly 4-8. As you're growing in this binding you can just move this highback back and in some cases can fit all the way up to a size 9 depending on the brand which is great for mom and dad. Features ratchet buckles on here, one piece exoskeletal strap, it's a POM or composite material on the bottom so it's nice and flexible for the little guys which is cool.
Suspension built in under the ball of the foot and the heel for any impact and that kind of thing. The forward lean adjustment on this one is over here on the side - forward lean is simply how far forward you want the highback - but merely turning this dial here will adjust the forward lean. And then, like I showed, for getting in and out it's the reclining highback that's the secret for Flow bindings. This is a good quality binding I think I think it's worth mentioning, obviously you can get your kid into a cheaper binding out there but it's something that: one - you don't have to worry about them not being able to get in and out of easily and two - maybe something they can pass down to little brothers or sisters as they grow out of it. Absolutely, I mean it's a binding that we've been making for a number of years and it's not a toy, it won't fall apart on the hill and frustrate dad.
Great, well make sure you check out the Flow Micron Youth on snowboards.com and thanks for watching the Morning Shred.
