2016 Flow Omni Womens Binding Overview
Hi there, welcome to the Morning Shred brought to you by snowboards.com. I'm Jenna, this is Tim from Flow and we're going to talk about the Flow Omni binding. Tim, this is high end binding for a high end girl, correct? Absolutely. The Omni has a bunch of features in there. It's 30% reinforced composite material, the baseplate and the highback, giving you a relatively stiff feel, quick edge to edge but stiff allowing for a little bit of flex underneath the foot. It's featured in the one piece power strap that takes on the shape of your foot conforms to the boot and becomes super comfortable.
It has the forward lean adjustment up on the highback and the highback, as it goes down, also features active strap technology meaning that the strap itself goes up, making it much easier to get in and out of especially while you're working on breaking in the strap. A little bit stiffer of a strap, as you get into higher performance bindings you kind of need that, right, to be able to get in smoother and just an added feature? Exactly. And then also on there, on the baseplate, it's fully padded and features a 2.5 degree bevel making it a little easier on your knees and more power to the edge. And because you have to break in that power strap it also features ratchet buckles that have a feature on there which is a lock so that when you do break that in, you can do what we call 'set it and forget it'. It's the same every single run. You lock it once and then you're just using the highback to get in and out, correct? Precisely.
Alright, so the Omni is really that binding for that solid rider, somebody who's looking for a little bit more performance as well as a little bit of added comfort as well, right? Absolutely, for the girl that wants the best. If that sounds like you, make sure you check out the Flow Omni on snowboards.com and thanks for watching the Morning Shred.
