2016 K2 Cinch CTC Binding Overview
Hey there, welcome to the Morning Shred, brought to you by snowboards.com. I'm Jenna, this is Mike from K2 and this is the K2 Cinch CTC binding. So Mike this is kind of the starting point of when you get into a cinch binding, correct? Definitely. Tell us a little bit about how it works? So this is one of our C1 frame so it's traditionally a little bit easier to get into, not some of our high end stuff but, like you said, going into that starting level of cinch this is what you got. The best thing about this is our cinch binding is that lock with the articulation. So this is going to allow for that rider to slide his foot in very easy, keep everything adjusted here and be able to do that one lock it pop it and go, so as far as the ease factor goes - he's in and out and down the hill quicker which is going to help him with starting out snowboarding.
You've got Cad 1 straps on there so great ratchets and ankle. These guys will all be tool-less in there. But another big feature on it is our Air Frame highback. So this allows for a little bit of play torsionally, on the back of the highback without sacrificing any flex. And I think it's worth mentioning too that this system isn't something that is new, it's been around for what, you guys have been making cinch bindings for I think 10 or 11 years or so and they've come a long way, this is so much lighter now and still kind of that standard binding feel to it but with the technology of cinch as well. Definitely.
There you go, make sure you check out the Cinch CTC on snowboards.com and thanks for watching the Morning Shred.
