2016 Ride KX Binding Overview
Welcome to the Morning Shred, brought to you by snowboards.com. I'm Jenna, this is Ryan from Ride and we're going to talk about the Ride KX binding. Ryan, who's this binding for? This is an entry-level freestyle binding to an intermediate little advanced freestyle rider. It's got RAD ankle strap, good support. Footbed system is going to be the Wedgie 1.5 which adds comfort and adds a little bit of pop. Also has what's rolling on the spectrum chassis so it is a plastic binding. Great, great binding for the price. The highback is what kind of separates it. It's going to have Slimeback which is urethane, petroleum based product, skateboard wheels stuff like that, so it gives you a lot of flex in the binding. It basically gives you good response through the whole binding.
And then similar straps to the LX, correct? It's got the RAD strap and the thin grip which the thin grip will stretch over just about any toe box in the game. So really if you're getting into it and you're looking between the LX and KX and you're thinking maybe you want to go to towards the park a little bit, then the KX would be the direction you would go? Exactly, for a couple dollars more you're going to get a lot of extra bells and whistles in that binding. Or if you're just a guy looking for something super soft-flexing - exactly, somebody like, I'd actually ride that binding and it's got great response and it's soft enough for a little guy like me to flex.
Great, well make sure you check out the Ride KX on snowboards.com and thanks for watching.
