Burton wants to help you release your animal spirit guide with the Custom Flying V Snowboard. Shaped like an eagle you can soar over the snow or carve and cut to snatch up prey along the way, you control the mountain with this revolutionary snowboard. Inspired by some of Burton's friends, like the Lord of Park and Pipe Mason or the backcountry Duke of Powder Mads, they have included in the Custom Flying V a unique mix of rocker and camber with the added benefit of Frostbite Edges for extra bite in the hard pack ice. And that leaves you with a super snappy board that has power and grip to spare. Then with the inclusion of the new Lightning Bolts, they have added an element that controls response which borders on the supernatural as it seems to sense your every thought and acts accordingly. Leaving an all terrain force to be reckoned with as it skims across the surface looking for the next conquest. The Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard has a Flying V Rocker.

Newbie who upgraded from a Clash. I don't have to tell you the difference is night & day! Like going from a Mustang to a 430 Scuderia. This board is obviously above my grade level but I love the challenge. After blazing down a hill faster than I've ever gone, catching an edge, and face planting, I grinned with pleasure as my nose bled out for 10 minutes. Fast and sick is how I best describe the board, so as i work on my tricks, knowing I can just blaze is cool. BTW, we don't know what powder is here in Iowa so the fact that I ride on ice all day should give you an idea on whether or not you can handle the conditions occasionally where you ride.
The Custom Flying V is definitely a great stick. The second you step on this board and skate to the lift line, you'll already notice that something feels different about this snowboard. The Flying V camber is amazing. You get the playfulness and float of a rocker while still having the bite of a positive camber. The flex on this board is dead middle which means it is a very versatile board. Great on the pow and groomers, yet sick in the park as well. It's also very fast. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 is because of the ICS system. Although you can get conversion plates for non Burton bindings, it defeats the whole purpose of the ICS/EST combo.
