A super stylish and cute option for the mountain, the Dakine Linnton Insulated Ski Jacket will keep you warm and comfy while you're carving into some fresh snow. There are a lot of features on this jacket to giving you just about anything you could ask for. The 2L GORE-TEX Plain Weave fabric helps the chilly moisture stay on the outside and the DWR Finish makes the fabric very water-resistant so it sheds quickly. The Taffeta and Brushed Tricot Lining is super cozy too. Keeping you protected from the elements is a drop hood with a drawcord so you can bundle up nicely when the winds start to howl. There's also the wrist gaiters, waist drawcord and powder skirt to help give you a barrier from the snow. You'll have a chest pocket designed for your phone and an interior pocket for your goggles so everything remains safe. There are a few other pockets as well to hold all the necessities. If you heat up from skiing under the sun, you can open up the underarm vents and let some fresh air flow through. Comfy, warm and stylish, you can't ask for anything better than this standard fitting Dakine Linnton Insulated Ski Jacket.
Haven't had a chance to wear it skiing yet, so this review is purely based on first impressions. Fit seems true to size (got a large, and am usually US10, UK12-14) but with plenty of room to layer if need be. Very long and quite flattering cut, which I like, so hopefully no more cold bum on chairlifts. Has plenty of secure pockets for all your stuff (for ski pass a choice of either sleeve pocket or window in bottom hem), internal sleeve cuffs with optional thumb loops, velcro closures over zips (plus extra snap closures down front zip), pit zips with mesh lining (not the longest out there, but still look functional), and hood looks like it will fit over helmet. Doesn't look like chin rub will be a huge issue as inner fabric nice and soft. Generally appears to be well-made and very functional, and very good value. Looking forward to actually using it in the snow soon.
