 Overview

The K2 Fastplant is a perfect board for hard chargers that are looking for the ultimate in poppy freestyle boards out there today. The Bambooyah WH 4 Core is incredibly strong, so strong that K2 backs the core with a 5 year warranty. The Bamboo has an ultra light feel to it, but packs a mean punch, and is very flexible. An addition of a Carbon Web to the Fastplant delivers power right to the edge without adding any extra weight. The Ollie Bar is made pre-loaded with a carbon, Kevlar, and glass layer in the center of the board between the binding inserts to give you more power with every Ollie on to rails, boxes or anything else you can find to bonk off of. If you want the ultimate in progressive freestyle riding plant yourself on the K2 Fastplant.

2015 K2 Fastplant Snowboard Review by Ian P.
Comments:
Hey this is Ian. I just got off the K2 Fastplant. This is for your advanced level freeride park style board. Really responsive, good flex, good pop to it. It really reacts very well to hard turn when you're loading up for a little bit of a jump. Give this probably a 4 out of 5, it's not exactly my style of board. I ride more of an all-mountain or carving board, but it was a great ride for sure.

2015 K2 Fastplant Snowboard Review by Ian R.
Comments:
Hey this is Ian. I just got done riding the K2 Fastplant in a 154. I give this board 5 out of 5 stars. This is by far one of my favorite boards in their lineup. Freestyle baseline so very mellow based rocker, flat in between the feet. They added this year the carbon web, so it stiffens up a little bit in the tip and the tail and carbon stringers running in. So you really feel it when you actually load up the board. Bambooyah blend core. So it definitely has stringers of bamboo in it. Just launches you off the littlest things and makes snowboarding effortless, which in return just makes snowboarding way more fun. 5 out of 5, K2 Fastplant.

2015 K2 Fastplant Snowboard Review by Mike G.
Comments:
Hey I'm Mike. I just got off the K2 Fastplant. I rode this in a 154. Little bit biased on this board since I've owned it for the past 2 years but I give it a 5 out of 5. I love this board. Bamboo core, super snappy, super poppy, yet real buttery, fun for all-mountain. Super fun in the park, 5 year warranty, can't beat it.

2015 K2 Fastplant Snowboard Review by Rob
Comments:
Hey I'm Rob. I just got off the K2 Fastplant. Give this board a 4 out of 5 stars. It's a really good aggressive you know freestyle board, all-mountain freestyle. Bambooyah core, tons of snap, tons of pop. Really holds an edge well too outside of park you can cruise on the board make any kind of turn you want. But it's really, it's a high end freestyle board. A lot of fun to ride. I rode it a little short, if I was gonna buy it I'd buy it a little bigger than what I rode it, it's just all they had here today. But still just super fun board, again for that high end freestyle rider.

Q: How does the board do on legit terrain such as double black and black diamond runs at Mammoth Mountain? Wondering how it holds an edge and how it does will speeds over 50 mph.

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: Hi, While this board holds an edge surprisingly well at speed, I think there are boards out there that would better suit your needs if hard charging is your main goal. To start, I'd probably look for something slightly directional or set back. I'd also look at something with some element of camber whether its a true cambered board or a hybrid board that utilizes both camber and rocker. If I were you I'd take a look at some of these http://www.snowboards.com/snowboards/100,default,sc.html?prefn1=Inv_DeptCode
