Make the most of your ski day in the warm and comfortable Freedom LRBC Insulated Pants from The North Face. They offer waterproof/breathable DryVent technology with fully taped seams to prevent moisture from seeping in and 60g of Heatseeker insulation for optimal warmth on those cold and chilly days. The Freedom LRBC has a relaxed fit, adjustable waist tabs and articulated knees for added mobility. A cargo pocket and zippered handwarmer pockets offer extra storage for a trail map or beanie and reinforced edge guards with kickpatches provide added protection from skis, boots and parking lots. The moisture managing Chimney Venting system allows hot air to rise through the stretch mesh gaiters and escape through the thigh vents so you stay comfortable should you work up a sweat.
I skied at Winter Park, CO in mid April. It was unusually warm day and I skied without the gloves. These leg-vent worked great. When you ski without a jacket, this big pocket became very handy for my gloves and a hand towel. I’m convinced that these pants are comfortable in cold snowy days also warm days as well.
I just returned from Heavenly Resort. It was the worst weather, it rained Feb 7, 8, 9th, finally snowed on 10th. Although specs says waterproof 10,000mm, it performed more than what I expected. I did not get wet inside after skiing 2 hours in the drizzle. While I was eating lunch, surface was dried completely. Then, I skied 2 more hours. I did not get wet inside at all. I’m 5’3” and 115 lb. Size Small and Regular length fit fine.
These pants are super comfortable and fit great. The exterior shell material repels rain/snow while the insulation keeps me warm. I'm a taller girl (5'9") and I found that the length was perfect in a size small. I also love the cargo pocket for stashing my keys when I ski or extra baggies when I'm out walking the dog.
