In Good Hands -The Art of Building a Snowboard
Craig's Prototype Facility represents Burton's investment in R&D. This 10,000 square-foot facility houses the best of Burton's high-end, custom-built machinery. Although capable of producing thousands of snowboards, Craig's is dedicated to R&D and only produces a limited run of boards each season that we call the Backyard Project.
Sustainability – Burton’s Stance
Our connection to the environment is seamless. We chase snow in the winter, and seek adventure in the summer. The lifestyle we work so hard for is dependent on cooperation with Mother Nature. That’s why it’s so important for Burton to hold up their end of the bargain and reduce their footprint so that people can enjoy the mountains for generations to come. From factory audits that ensure their manufacturers meet today’s high standards, to working with organizations like bluesign and the FSC to manage the footprint their products leave behind, Burton aims for best-in-class standards, and is always looking for creative new ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.
