Forum snowboards was founded in 1996 by Four Star Distribution and Peter Line, a pro snowboarder. The fact that one of the founders was a pro snowboarder should already tell you a lot about this company. Forum snowboards also owns the outerwear companies Four Square and Special Blend. Park riders rejoice because Forum snowboards offers a complete line of freestyle sticks.
Forum pushes the tech envelope with designs like their Combo Platter. Forum snowboards with Combo Platter raises the contact points under the bindings on a traditional camber profile. This means that Forum snowboards with this technology will make it hard for you to catch an edge. Forum snowboards takes this a step further with their Buttercup Technology. This tech raises the contact points on the tips so you can really dig into your presses without the fear of catching an edge. Forum introduces a new technology this year called the Grand Pops. This new profile builds on the traditional camber shape by adding flat pop zones in the tip and tail to increase spring and energy. The result of this new technology is the performance of camber but with higher Ollie capabilities.
Another popular Forum snowboard profile has been the DoubleDog, and this year it has been improved to provide more snap and pop just outside your feet. This profile combines playful and power for the ultimate freestyle ride. There are camber sections located under each foot and rocker sections between the feet and at the nose and tail making these boards forgiving and playful while still being able to charge hard.
Forum snowboard bindings
Forum may be well known for their snowboards but they make a darn good binding and boot as well. Forum snowboard bindings are chock full of technology that will offer great performance and feel. One of the greatest new technologies is the Good Vibes which is all about giving the rider a natural feel from their bindings. Good Vibes tech in Forum snowboard bindings offer a split baseplate allowing the snowboard to flex naturally underfoot which gives the rider more board control and feel. For additional comfort Forum bindings also have a full length EVA pad which will aid in any hard landings giving the rider, you guessed it, only Good Vibes.
Forum snowboard boots
Forum snowboard boots cater to the freestlye riders offering softer flexes while maintaining toe to heel lateral support for stomping landings. With Tweaker innovation Forum snowboard boots offer a softer medial inner flex yet still offer enough support for park and street riding and will be more comfortable in a wider stance. Tweaker also allows the boots to flex higher on the leg with an asymmetrical upper cuff which gives the rider a good full boot flex feel. For additional comfort the footbed in Forum snowboard boots is full EVA for enhanced shock absorption and overall comfort for full days on the mountain. To tighten up your Forum boots you will have either a quicklace or a standard lace depending on the model. You will also find integrated lacing with the inner liner so you can fine tune the fit and ensure you will not get cold feet.
